The Nashville Parthenon, situated at 2600 W End Ave Centennial Park, Nashville, TN 37203, is a replica of the original Parthenon.

This Art Museum was designed by architect William Crawford Smith and was built for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition to honor 100 years since Tennessee’s statehood.

The architects’ vision behind designing such iconic buildings came from his knowledge about ancient Greek architecture mixed with American culture at the time, as well as admiration for Ancient Greece art style and their architectural elements like columns and friezes or triglyphs, etcetera, so he decided to make one himself.
