  • St. Jude’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon

Active tourists wishing to add a marathon to their athletic credentials may want to consider planning a trip to Nashville in April to participate in the Nashville Marathon. During that time, the St. Jude’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon will take place, which attracts more than 20,000 runners each year.

With a full- and half-marathon on the schedule, there is a distance to suit almost every participant. The fact that it is taking place in Nashville, though, means that the event is about more than just traversing all of those miles.

In addition to Bonnaroo, there are a number of other big music-related events taking place in Nashville during the month of June.

Even the Country Music Awards Music Festival, known as CMA Fest, is incredibly popular, and it has the added advantage of taking place right in the middle of downtown as well.

The festival provides an opportunity for some of the biggest names in country music, as well as some talented up-and-comers, to put on a show in front of a receptive audience of country music fans.
